We have been living now for thousands of years in a patriarchal society, but things are changing. For many of us these changes are scary because old, outdated structures are crumbling around us, but this process is offering us the opportunity to rebuild a more balanced and expansive future.
It is time for us to consciously awaken and for us to embrace and own our Divine Feminine energies, bringing them beautifully into balance with our Divine Masculine energies.
Life is a Journey
So to begin let me explain that for me life is a journey; it is the journey for our soul, our Higher Self, to enable us to expand and grow. Our journey is a journey of self-discovery as we learn who we truly are. I believe that each and every one of us is a Divine being, that we all carry our own innate wisdoms deep within and we are learning to access this wisdom, this knowledge, to share it with the world. Each and every one of us is a piece of the most amazing jigsaw, radiating out into the world around us and out into the Universe for all to see.
We are an expression of the Divine and we are all on our own unique journey for our soul’s growth and for the growth and expansion of the collective. In essence, we all teach and learn with each and every encounter we have with another. It is not our job to worry about what we might be teaching another; our job is to learn the lessons available to us so that we let go of our own outmoded limiting beliefs and learnt behaviours.
As I mentioned last month, my belief is that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience as we journey through life and yes, it is very much our choice as to whether we choose this journey to be a conscious one or not. It is a journey of self-discovery, a journey of self-awareness and as we learn and grow we are able to assist others on their own journey of self-discovery: as we shine our light out into the world, we give others permission to do the same. We are all a work in progress until our dying breath and beyond.
We have spent thousands of years living in a patriarchal society – man is king, and women have had a more subservient role but things are changing and the balance is beginning to shift. Please don’t misunderstand me, I am not talking about the feminist movement, although that is a part of it: I am referring to the balance of the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine energies within us. Many people are calling this the time of ‘The Great Awakening’ or ‘The Rise of the Divine Feminine’ and I would like to share my thoughts, feeling and understandings around this.
Holding a Higher Vibration to Support the Earth
I worry that the role of the modern-day feminist has missed the mark and is misleading people, causing them to roll their eyes at any mention of the patriarchy or feminism. Rest assured, I am 100% in favour of equality in the workplace: I believe in equal pay, equal prospects and promotions and I also honour those who choose to devote their lives to their families. We live in a world of duality, but on a soul level we are neither black nor white, we are not of any given religion and we are neither male nor female: we are pure vibrational energy, high-frequency beings and we are in perfect balance. As spiritual beings we are a higher vibrational energy than we are able to hold on Earth at this time and this Great Awakening, the rise of the Divine Feminine, is helping us to, once again, hold a higher vibration as we raise the frequency of the energy on our planet in order to support and assist it.
The Importance of Balance
During a healing session with a client, we may discuss their masculine and feminine energies being out of balance and this can be due to a number of factors. For example, if you are a single mother or living alone you need to be the sole provider; you need to make sure everyone under your roof is safe, fed and clothed but you also need to love, nurture and support them and yourself emotionally. As the Divine Feminine awakens we have a duty of care to ensure that we don’t allow the pendulum to swing too far the other way. We mustn’t emasculate our men. We need to nurture and love them, so that they too can balance their Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine energies.
For lifetimes, most of us have been taught to ignore our feelings but in truth, being human is all about understanding, connecting to and feeling our feelings. The more we open into this idea as women, the more we are able to assist our men to do the same. We can teach our boys that it is okay to admit that we can feel hurt, we can allow ourselves to cry and we can also to allow ourselves to feel joy. Our (very human) feelings allow us to experience life to its fullest; they enable our souls to expand and to grow.
The Divine Feminine is the Great Mother, she is all-loving, all-knowing and her energy is creative. You know that you are safe sharing with her your hopes and dreams for the future – she will not laugh at you, she will encourage you and hold the space for you to learn and grow. But she is also firm with her love and she takes no nonsense. If you step out of line she will lovingly let you know that you have overstepped the mark, she gives you opportunity for growth in each and every moment, learning from your mistakes with love and kindness. This Great, Divine Mother lets you know that you are loved and that you can fulfil your heart’s desire with love, care and attention to the needs of others as you step into your own power, enabling you to shine brightly.
When we bring our masculine and feminine energies into balance, that is when the magic happens, this is when life begins to flow and things begin to fall into place with grace and ease and we are able to manifest. As a soul on the journey of our life we need to bring into harmony both our ‘being self’ and our ‘doing self’ and as we do so the having, the manifesting, just begins to flow. We are the Divine Creator of our own story and it is when we take ownership of this rather than just believing that life is happening to us that things begin to change.
Learning to Grow As a Collective
Our thoughts, words and deeds affect the energy and circumstances we draw into our energy field. How we react in any given moment affects what happens next. When something unpleasant happens to us we often ask ourselves and others, ‘Why does this keep happening to me?’ Yet if we just tweak the question to ‘What do I need to learn from this?’ then we begin to shift our perspective, we begin to be open to learning the lesson on offer to us in that moment and we begin to learn and grow.
We are a collective and we are all here to learn and grow. We work both individually and as a team; we love and support one another. There is room for each and every one of us to succeed. As we learn and grow we begin to let go of the need to be co-dependent and we learn to be co-creative, to be mutually expansive. We are awakening into a new revolution, a new Golden Era where we can be all that we came here to be. We came here to shine and to assist one another to do the same.
