Weaving the Golden Thread

Glastonbury is a magical place, known to many as the heart chakra of the Earth, and it is a wonderful place to access the wisdom within. There is much to see and do with the Chalice Well being a World Peace Garden; the Glastonbury Abbey ruins and the Tor are both mystical and enchanting, and not to mention the glorious White Spring, which is possibly one of my most favourite places in the world to sit in stillness. Sacred sites around the world are here to help us activate our individual unique codes, the codes of creation that we carry within us and that are just waiting to be switched on, activated and shared.

Magical things just seem to happen while in Glastonbury; synchronicities become so commonplace you almost begin to take them for granted. From the moment I arrived at my B&B the people I met and the conversations I had just flowed with the deliciousness of connections and knowings. It’s as if you step through a wonderful portal into another reality where things just flow with grace and ease.

Life is a journey that unfolds in front of us step by step. I can’t remember which movie it was that suggested the journey is either like a ride on a merry-go-round or a rollercoaster. I prefer to see it as the ride on a rollercoaster – it certainly has its ups and downs but I know that without one I wouldn’t be able to appreciate the other. The thought of being stuck on a merry-go-round, going around and around frightens the life out of me, as I sense the boredom and monotony would take hold pretty quickly.

Of course, the downs can be overwhelming at times but with the absolute joy of the highs it’s all worth it. And in all truth it’s the challenges, the lows, that crack us open so that we can let go of the pains and hurts from the past and move forwards on new and positive pathways. The future is ever-shifting and changing depending on the choices we make in each and every given moment. As so many people tell us, we need to focus on the present moment and allow the future to reveal itself when it is its turn to be in the present moment. I understand that for many that sounds like a riddle but if you think about it honestly, the present moment is all that we have.

So many beautiful synchronicities unfolded for me during my time in Glastonbury. It was such a magical weekend and it has taken me some time to fully integrate all that happened. Firstly, I got to spend the weekend with my beautiful and very dear friend Emma. We met on a shamanic retreat in Spain about 13 years ago and although we’ve stayed in touch (Emma edits my newsletter for me), our weekend in Glastonbury was the first time we have spent time in each other’s company since that initial meeting. I feel blessed and honoured to call Em a friend, and I had the great pleasure of helping her celebrate her birthday. “Happy Birthday once again, Gorgeous!”

Secondly, the workshop I attended was wonderful. We began by briefly introducing ourselves and saying what had drawn us to it. When it was my turn, I told everyone that I didn’t know why I was there but I just knew that I needed to be. Luckily for me, as the weekend unfolded it became clear and I’m so grateful that I trusted the nudges I received, that I listened to the whispers and I signed up for a workshop without really knowing why.

Everyone was so friendly; there were a number of people who had never attended a workshop before and who were naturally a little apprehensive but each and every one of us had an incredible time. Our hosts were delightful and I love that we still get intermittent messages checking in to see how we are all doing since our time together. It was amazing to spend the weekend with likeminded souls from around the world. Each one holding space for everyone else, each one honouring each and every one present in whatever form they chose to be there. It really was a magical weekend of deep connection and activation.

The main premise of the workshop was deepening and strengthening our connection to Gaia in the knowledge that she is ever-present, holding us, loving us and nurturing us in all that we choose to be and do. The more we connect ever deeper with Gaia herself, the more we dive deeper into our own innate self and the more we are able to access our own creative gifts that we have come to share with one and all. It’s all about listening, feeling and connecting to the magic within. It’s not what’s outside of ourselves BUT what we hold within us.

Our journey began in a lovely space within the heart of Glastonbury but on the second day, we had private time at the Chalice Well, where we each received a healing between the beautiful yew tress on the Mary Magdalene ley line. Powerful stuff for sure, then we also sat at the base of the Tor to receive an activation before climbing up to the top for another gathering and another potent activation.

These activations were to assist us in accessing our own individual codes of creation. Listening, feeling, connecting to the magic within. As we connect to our own divine thread we can begin to weave a new story from a place of deep knowing, a place of deep remembering. We all have our own unique gifts and differing ways in how we choose to share them. As we open into our souls’ memories, to the divine guidance, as we learn to trust ourselves, we open into the infinite potential available to us all.

Grounding, connecting and going deep within, accessing our own innate wisdom. Listening to the inner whispers as we let go of the external noise and distraction. Opening a doorway to divine intelligence, to our souls’ memories and to divine guidance, opening into the infinite potential available to us all. A reminder to stop looking outside of ourselves but to go within, in the knowledge that we hold all the insights that we seek deep inside. All we have to do is stop and listen. It is all there for us, just waiting to be explored.

Throughout the weekend we were guided to find our own golden thread and to trust it. To be fully grounded, fully present and fully committed to Spirit, to the journey and to ourselves. Learning to trust ourselves without question, knowing what makes our hearts sing and what brings us joy so that we can share it with the world.

Attending this workshop and being in Glastonbury nourished my soul. I am eternally grateful that I listened to my own inner whispers to attend and for the joy of all the glorious people I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with.
